Position Description: Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Rebuilding Respect for Women (RRFW) will be responsible for the preparation and implementation of financial and administrative systems and controls to provide managerial vitality as well as the necessary support and oversight to the programmatic efforts of the organization.

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Relationship: The CFO reports directly to the President of RRFW and works with members of the Board of Directors, particularly the Audit Committee. The CEO also works collegially with the program and development staff to assure fiscal integrity and maximum support for the organization's operational activities.

Responsibilities:
  1. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial transactions and records; provide oversight and direction to finance and administrative staff including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, auditing, and the financial activities of the program countries;
  2. Provide professional oversight and direction to assure the preparation, implementation and proper management of the annual budget and accompanying fiscal strategies of RRFW. In this regard, a Controller may be assigned and authorized, by extension, to certain critical and principle responsibilities;
  3. Provide on-going fiscal oversight and monitoring of RRFW's financial resources to maximize the effectiveness of its activities and minimize administrative and development expenses;
  4. Direct and/or authorize the organization's legal work, including but not limited to: vendor and personal services contracts, charitable registration, leases, government reporting and international trademark registrations;
  5. Provide timely and responsive financial reports including the annual audit to program management and the Board of Directors, particularly to the Board Audit Committee;
  6. Serve as the principal liaison to the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors;
  7. Provide financial and administrative advice and counsel to the President as needed.
